Calculating Options of Service
Options are calculated for all students regardless of age. The funding report, however, includes only students who are receiving services on the date the report is run if these students are at least 3 years old, but not yet 22 years old. Option Services 1 Consultation (minimum of 2 contacts per month) except OT/PT (minimum of 3 contacts per year). Time must be reported. Direct Service less than 1 hour per week. Related Services less than 1 hour per week. Includes: Psychological School Social Work Speech/Language School Health Counseling Vision Services Hearing Services Occupational Therapy Physical Therapy Excludes: Recreation Therapy Other Related Services 2
Direct
Services more than or equal to 1 but less than 4 hours per week. Any one related service more than or equal to 1 but
less than 4 hours per week Same services included and excluded as listed under Option

Services more than or equal to 4 but less than 9 hours per week. Any one related service more than or equal to 4 but

sum of all direct services plus related services listed below plus up to 10
hours per week of special education paraeducator in the general education
program must be 32.5 or more hours per week. In addition, at least two related services from
those specified below must be received for at least the minimum times listed. Psychological
